Rescued from the Flood – Psalm 69

Message from the Pastor

Dear Church Family,

Psalm 69:16 “Answer me, O Lord, out of the goodness of your love; in your great mercy turn to me.”

Opportunities to Gather

Our Worship Service begins at 10 am. The message this week is from Psalm 69 titled “Rescued from the Flood.” The service will be live streamed on the church Facebook page at 10 am. After the service, it will be posted on the church YouTube page and on the church website.

Youth Group plans to have a Corn Maze Outing to Wilcox Farms today, September 27, from 6:30 -9:30 pm. The cost is $6, and please bring a mask. You can bring a carpool from church or meet us at the corn maze.

We are having weekly Prayer Gatherings on Sundays from 9:30-10:00 am inside the Sanctuary.  All are welcome to join in this time of prayer for our communities, this country, and the world.  

Young Adult Sunday School Class meets outside after the morning service.

Please sign up on the table by the offering barrel for the upcoming Women’s Bible Study. The two times offered for this study are Monday evenings at 6:30-8:30 pm in-person at church and/or via “Zoom”. This begins on October 5. A Wednesday morning study will be held at 10:00 am beginning on October 7. Please read the flyer or contact Linda Kriebel, Amy Hager, Kelly Hetrick, Diane Lawrence, Tammy Taylor, or Holly Jones with questions and to sign up.

Announcements

The church has established a specific Benevolence Fund for people in our church financially struggling due to effects from COVID-19 on the economy. Please reach out to Pastor Mark if you need help from the church.

Congratulations to our participants in this year’s Survivor Croquet Tournament. Our teams came in 2nd and 4th place and won $500 dollars to support our next summer missions project. 

There is a Young Adult Trip to Cherry Crest Farms scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020. We will meet at church at noon or at Cherry Crest Farms at 1:30 pm.

The AMEC Biennial Conference will take place virtually on Saturday, October 17, from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Pastor Bob Gerhart will give the keynote address as he concludes his tenure as AMEC’s Executive Director. We will communicate the details on how to watch and be a part of this event.

The Women’s Ministry Team would like to host a wedding shower for Laura Reichle, Patrick Helverson’s fiancé, on Sunday, October 4 at 2 pm. It will be at the church.

The Playground Set is scheduled to be moved on Tuesday, October 27 starting at 9 am. Please let Pastor Mark know if you are willing and able to help with this project which is to be done under the direction of a professional installer.

Harvest Home collection is in progress.  All donations will be given to Boyertown Area Multi-Service.  Please view the attached flyer with the bulletin to see the items most needed. The items can be brought to church and are due by October 11.

The Bally Community Center has opened! Grades 9-12 meet Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm, grades 5-8 meet Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm, and Grades 1-4 meet Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm. We are wearing masks, and there are new waivers. Parents need to sign in the students the first time they come. No snacks will be provided, but there will be lots of fun!

Prayer Requests

Please pray that we are able to utilize the new building soon.

Pray that our nation and its leaders would seek the Lord in their decisions and choices.

Pray for people to come to know the Lord as their Lord and Savior and to place their faith in Jesus Christ.
